Focus crests on your highest-impact slots first: 1. Weapon (biggest DPS/HPS gain) 2. Trinkets (strong proc/stat sticks) 3. Tier set pieces (4pc bonus is huge) 4. Lowest ilvl slots to bring up your average Don't waste crests upgrading pieces you'll replace soon. Plan around your vault and raid drops.
Crafting Strategy
Sparks are time-gated — use each one wisely: - Craft your BiS items in slots that are hardest to get from drops - Rings/Neck are often good craft targets (no tier competition) - Weapon is a strong early craft if you won't get a raid weapon soon - Check your class guide for recommended craft slots - Embellishments: pick two strong ones that fit your spec
Weekly Lockout Checklist
Every week, make sure to complete: - Raid (Normal + Heroic, Mythic when available) - Mythic+ dungeons (at least 8 for full vault) - World Boss (once per week, any difficulty) - Delves (Bountiful Delves for crest income) - Weekly quests (usually 1-2 weekly turn-ins) - Great Vault selection (Tuesday/Wednesday)
Gearing Tracks
Gear follows upgrade tracks in Midnight: - Explorer (ilvl 558-571) - Adventurer (ilvl 571-584) - Veteran (ilvl 584-597) - Champion (ilvl 597-610) - Hero (ilvl 610-623) - Mythic (ilvl 623-636) Higher content rewards higher tracks. Crests upgrade within a track.
Crest Types
Four crest types, each from different content: - Weathered Crests: World content, Delves T1-3, Normal dungeons - Carved Crests: Heroic dungeons, Delves T4-6, LFR raid - Runed Crests: M+ 2-7, Normal/Heroic raid, Delves T7-8 - Gilded Crests: M+ 7+, Heroic/Mythic raid Weekly caps apply — plan your activities to cap efficiently.
Revival Catalyst
Opens ~5 weeks into the season (around Apr 14): - Converts non-tier armor into tier set pieces - Uses a charge (1 per week, charges accumulate) - Great for filling tier gaps on main and alts - Priority: get your 4-piece tier ASAP - Save charges for alts once main is complete
Alt Gearing Tips
Once your main is set, gear alts efficiently: - Warbound BoA gear can be sent to alts - Crests and Sparks are partially account-wide - Focus on M0 + Heroic dungeon spam early - Catalyst charges help alts get tier quickly - Delves are great solo alt gearing content - Don't stress Mythic raid on alts — Hero track is fine
